Sony Xperia P black Review

Sony Xperia P black

The Sony Xperia P has a full aluminium unibody frame which gives it a unique, durable and modern look. An attractive phone with many stand-out features, such as that glorious 4-inch display, the 8-megapixel camera and the pwerful 1Ghz dual-core processor. The 4 inch Reality display uses the Mobile BRAVIA engine technology and offers crisp and clear images with stunning colour. The 8 megapixel camera is capable of taking superb photographs even in low light conditions thanks to the Exmor R sensor, and the dual-core 1GHz processor provides a top-notch user experience, smooth and responsive at all times.

The 8 megapixel camera has a range of useful features such as 8 x digital zoom, HD video recording (at 1080p), face detection and smile detection. Plus the Sony Xperia P can be used with the Sony Smart Dock offering easy connectivity to TV screens allowing you to use the phone as an entertainment hub for the home (note Sony Smart Dock is an optional accessory not included in retail pack). The powerful 1GHz dual-core processor means a super fast user experience even while web browsing, which also benefits from HSDPA connectivity for quick access to all your favourite sites. The Sony Xperia P is also compatible with NFC tag technology, allowing you to change the configuration of the device easily. The 16Gb of on-board flash storage should also be plenty for most audio collections, snaps, video clips and apps. The only slight criticism of this handset is the fact that it ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread instead of the later Ice Cream Sandwich, though this will probably be updated shortly.

In summary, the Sony Xperia P is an impressive device packed with enough high-end specs to ensure it remains at the top of its price bracket for some time, a standout performer that has blurring the boundaries between mid and high-end smartphones, highly recommended.
