BenQ-Siemens Phones

In 2005, consumer electronics company, BenQ (Bringing Enjoyment and Quality to life) acquired mobile division of Siemens AG. BenQ’s previous resume consisted of an impressive variety of electronics including camcorders, televisions, monitors, projectors and cameras. It was the company’s mission to integrate their electronics with their customers’ unique lifestyle experience. When the company acquired Siemens’ mobile division, the company set their sights high.

Combining the lifestyle experience of BenQ and the engineering expertise of Siemens,  BenQ-Siemens set out to become one of the new leaders in mobile communications technology. It was not long until the company began to receive recognition for its work, receiving the most iF Product Design Awards in 2006. Though BenQ continues to make lifestyle consumer electronics, BenQ-Siemens’ focus is in the mobile phone industry.  In 2010, the BenQ Group received twelve (that’s right, twelve) Red Dot Awards for superb product design.

BenQ-Siemens continues to be a major force in the mobile industry. By providing reliable service and superior quality at an affordable cost, they are helping to raise the standard in the industry. For a company whose roots only extend about six years back, BenQ-Siemens has left a noticeable trace in history. The company stands strong against competition that has had much earlier starts than BenQ. Their competitors include LG, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, and Alcatel. When the company first got involved in the communications industry it was their goal to become a leader in mobile technologies. This was a lofty goal, especially considering who they would be competing against, but sure enough, they went out and made their mark on the consumers, and have earned much respect in the industry. This little company has some fight, and definitely has what it takes to stay in the running for leader of the mobile phone industry.
